ESCH SNOATS (AKA TODD TEVLIN)
Todd’s digital artwork can be classified as an eerily hypnotic explosion of color that you just can’t look away from. His work is densely layered with deep rich textures, allowing people to see something different with each viewing.
His artwork is a combination of digital manipulation fused with photography and other elements. He incorporates photography from nature, industrial as well as unusual elements such as mashed potatoes and blown glass. He likens the process in which he creates his art more akin to a sculptor than a painter, and takes a great deal of time “chipping away” at the work until it is complete.
He’s a stay at home dad and has been an artist for 27 years. He will be displaying his artwork in person at the SLCC this year.
